You can now be trained as a Yoga teacher right here on the Island. 16 Yoga practitioners are now 200 hour accredited Yoga Alliance Synchronicity Teachers. All the courses have the backing of the Worldwide Yoga Alliance, which means that once qualified, all Synchronicity teachers can inspire others anywhere in the world.

Samantha Walker is a British Wheel of Yoga and World Wide Yoga Alliance 200 and 500 Hour accredited teacher.

Karma Yoga has given me a new perspective to my training regime. I train hard most days to achieve a high level of cardiovascular and strength fitness for my profession as a motorcycle racer in the MotoGP championship.

I discovered Karma Yoga only a few months ago through a close friend, but in this short space of time I have felt a dramatic improvement not only in my flexibility but also more importantly for me in my muscular recovery after very hard training sessions in the gym.

A massive thank you to Sammie and I would recommend Karma Yoga to anyone.

I took up yoga just over 1 year ago at the age of 52. Something I had always wanted to do but never quite made it. I had no idea what it was really all about but decided the time was right to have a go. The experience at Karma was so positive and fun, it is serious but not intense. I feel so much calmer and more supple than I ever thought possible. I look forward to going to the studio and miss it when I can't go.

I started Yoga with Karma about 2 years ago, aged 59, having never practiced before and flexibility having never been one of my great attributes. I try to go to a practice once a week but that’s not always possible with business travel. However, my flexibility has improved thanks to Sammie’s patience and skill and, although I’m no master of yoga, I do appreciate and enjoy doing it.

If you are interested in trying Yoga for the first time, or are looking for a refresher if you have done Yoga in the past, this is your opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Yoga. Over 6 weeks you'll learn 7 core principles that will provide the base of your Yoga practice. On completion of this course you will be able to attend with confidence any beginners class on the Timetable
Each course fills up quickly

The course costs £55 and consists of 6 weekly 75 minute sessions with a maximum of 12 students per class. We keep the class sizes to a minimum to ensure each student receives the support they need. No prior experience or flexibility is required and all the equipment you will need is here. Please note that once you have booked your place no transfers or refunds can be given for unattended sessions
