Samantha Walker

Sammie has created a contemporary way of teaching yoga called Synchronicity Yoga, a style which incorporates all the elements of traditional asana practice, but which is taught with the individual in mind and in a much more passionate, and up to the minute in its style. It is yoga with a twist; a new edgy, spontaneous yoga that adapts to the clients needs at the time of day, year and even to the moon!
Synchronicity is especially formulated for those with an athletic or sports background. Sammie has worked with many hundreds of clients during her 14 years practicing yoga, and has extensive experience in identifying and working with the particular stresses and strains that can be caused by a lifetime spent at the desk, the gym or on the track and which can often manifest itself in pain or stiffness in the hips, neck and back.
Through cultivating an individual yoga practice suited to your own physiological and bio-mechanical blueprint, Sammie’s goal is to have you understand your own body so well that you can take what you learn in class and adapt and apply this to your life on a day to day basis. Ultimately this can lead to an intelligent mind and body connection from which a whole new understanding and appreciation of your body can emerge, creating boundless possibilities for your practice and your ongoing physical well-being.
Sammie is a World Wide Yoga Alliance and British Wheel of Yoga 200-hour accredited teacher and teacher trainer. Sammie is in the process of devising her first 500-hour accredited teacher training course, to be run here on the Isle of Man.

Yolanda Lacey

Yolanda is a World Yoga Alliance 200hr accredited Synchronicity Teacher.
A devout gym bunny for over 15 years, Yolanda finally turned to Yoga in 2005 while she was recuperating from a major riding accident. At the very start, she approached Yoga on a purely physical level, the main objective being the re-building of strength and fitness that she lost due to the accident. However, as her practice deepened, Yolanda realised that Yoga is far more than a form of physical exercise. Yoga is a complete way of life, developing, healing and nurturing the body and mind simultaneously. Her practice is dynamic, reflecting her gym background and her Synchronicity training, and has a strong focus on synchronizing the breath with body movements. Her practice aims to achieve a state of total self absorption thus ultimately uniting the body and mind.

Her personal practise and teaching have been influenced through the Wheel by Iyengar, Bihar School and aYs (formerly Viniyoga). Whilst training with the Wheel she developed a special intrest in the breathing practises known as pranayama and became fascinated by the subtle effects that this aspect of yoga has on the body, mind and emotions.
